Hanmer Springs Forest
All walking tracks in the Hanmer Forest are now open and shall remain open for the forseeable future.

Molesworth Road
The Acheron Road through Molesworth Station is currently closed due to the very high fire risk.Anyone wanting to find out if the Acheron Road is closed or open in the next three months, should call the DOC South Marlborough Area Office, phone +64 3 572 9100.

Rainbow Road
The 4WD toll connecting St Arnaud to Hanmer Springs has closed for the season..

The waters of Te Waikoropupu Springs are closed to all forms of contact, to prevent the introduction of the invasive alga Didymo and other aquatic pests.  However the Te Waikoropupu Springs Scenic Reserve remains open for visitors to view the springs. Please read this notice -
